Regular Season Round 12: Al-Muharraq - Kazma 92-64

The most important game in the last round took place in Al Muharraq between third ranked KuwaitiKazma (1-3) and fourth ranked Bahrain Al-Muharraq (2-2) on Tuesday night. Kazma was crushed by Al-Muharraq on the road 64-92 . It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Al-Muharraq. Kazma managed to win fourth quarter 29-17 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Al-Muharraq made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Kazma turnovers and outrebounded them 49-29 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Al-Muharraq looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American forward Nick West (210-1994, college: AAMU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds. The other American import Tim Bond (201-1995, college: EMU) contributed with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Bond is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Al-Muharraq players scored in double figures. replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds and added 13 points and 8 assists in the effort for Kazma. Defending Bahrain champion moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Kazma lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Sagesse and Al Arabi. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
